I had made an appointment with six assistants at a specific time to place out personal alarms in exhibition spaces, stairs and toilets. They activated the alarms and left the building. The alarms went on for as long as it took the museum staff to silence the noise, which took about an hour. I arranged this happening for the exhibition Norwegian art production of the 90s. I was one of three artists representing Gallery GI in the show.

Royal Garden 1996

sound installation, Royal Garden Hotel, Trondheim

In the lounge of the hotel there was an artificial waterfall surrounded by plants. I hid loudspeakers in the green and played a tape that I had put together from different sources. It went from the sound of silent streams to powerful waterfalls. The work was a part of an arrangement called Action. Different spaces in the city were used for exhibiting art work. The project was initiated by students from the Academy of Fine Art in Trondheim.
